 Johnnie Jackson talks about the legacy every man needs to leave behind.

When you work day in and day out, no one should strive to just get by, be average or do the bare minimum. If you don't have a desire to be the absolute best at your chosen craft then it is probably time for you to do something else.

"It has been a while since Branch and myself have trained together. We trained together in China but it was more exhibition style and not true gritty, old school training sessions. Felt great to be back."

Johnnie Jackson is revving up his workouts and energy around some big things including seminars with the ISSA, events and appearances with GASP and Mutant. Whether or not another pro bodybuilding competition is on the horizon is to be determined.

Johnnie Jackson explains what it takes from training and diet requirements from months out to the final week preparations in Las Vegas including taking everything necessary on the flight, eating and carbing up properly, news media and fans and making all the meeting and interview appointments.

"You can get caught up in what you're doing and note enough, and that is detrimental to your look on stage. You have to be prepared food wise and water wise."

Olympia Q&A With Johnnie Jackson

"I have to wake up in the morning driven for a purpose. If I have no purpose when I wake up in the morning I think that would make me crazy."

Derek Lunsford is a week out from the 2019 Mr. Olympia with the title open for grabs now that Flex Lewis had retired from the 212 division.

Being at the top of his game Derek talks work ethic, muscular overload and his mental game towards his goals every day.

What's diferent from last year to this year?

Shaun was able to focus 100% on the Mr. Olympia, grow into it and show up fresh and energized up. He will be a full 10lb heavier than last year. He attributes the huge progress to his consistency of his training, prioritizing what is needed for his physique and also attributes to his diet being on point in the offseason as well as pre contest.

"To be the best in the world you have to set the standard."

Derek Lunsford is hitting one of his last leg workouts before the 2019 Mr. Olympia. The calories are low at this point with no backing off of intensity in the gym. This state has become a comfort zone for Derek.

"I just think that in this moment is a good feeling. Being this tired is the best feeling. I dont want to feel comfortable. I want to feel the struggle."

Shaun Clarida is 2 days out from prejudging for the 2019 Mr. Olympia 212 and talks about everything he has done over the past year, from training prioritization, to detailed nutrition catering to building mass and recovery to having an entire year off to mentally and physically focus 100% on the most important contest in the history of bodybuilding.

I ran the gauntlet last year competing over and over to earn the qualification to be able to focus exclusively on the Olympia this year!

The 212 Olympia title is up for grabs so the expo arena is standing room only as prejudging starts and the head judge makes the first call out. It is known, at any level of bodybuilding competitions where a class has too many competitors to be compared at once, call outs are used to compare athletes instead of comparing the class as a huge group. This is why being in the first call out usually determines a top placing. Here at the 2019 Mr. Olympia 212 Derek Lunsford, Shaun Clarida, Hidetada Yamagishi, Ahmad Ashkanani and Sami Al Haddad and Kamal Elgargni were in the first callout.

The clear top 3 after this round are Shaun Clarida, Derek Lunsford and Kamal Elgargni as they were told to leave the stage and the rest were kept on for a second call out with other 212 pros.

Courage Opara made his Olympia debut and cracked the top 10 earring him a top tier ranking in the world as a classic physique pro. This year he is viewing the Olympia as "a business trip" to improve on not only last year's placing but last year's physique as well.

We made sure that Oli signed the wall at ...destination and CEO Michael Johansson gave him a tour of both the current facility and the new one being under construction. He also got a chance to shake hands with Johnnie Jackson.

Hunter Labrada came up to Dallas for a few days, and CEO Michael Johansson took him on a tour at our new facilities that soon will become our GASP Gym at Destination Phase 2. This is what Hunter thought:

"When Destination Phase 2 is done it is going to be one of the coolest gyms that I have ever been to. I know it's going to be one of the best gyms in the country. There will be a lot of equipment and I am really excited to see it all done. It's going to be fun to have this close enough to just drive up whenever I want. The ceilings!
