Shaun Clarida is in Texas at the GASP and Better Bodies HQ to kick off a celebratory week with the team which will culminate on Friday with a huge celebration with his fiancé, coach Matt and the entire GASP and destination crew.

We hit the ground running with meeting up with the inner team for product feedback on new designs for fit feel and functionality critiques.

Shaun is still in rebound and recovery mode from his arduous prep to win the 212 Mr. Olympia but blasted through his chest and triceps session. He takes us through his training and methodology that is programmed by John Meadows and tells us some of his early triggers that made him so driven and immune to negativity.

There's no quit here! How bad do you REALLY want it?!

Shaun Clarida has a point in asking how bad you want it. If you want it bad enough then long hours, weekends and consistently working towards, putting in more effort day in and day out shouldn't be a question.

You should relish the fact that you can give whatever it takes to get there because you are doing this for your life AND you REALLY WANT IT.

Our friends Rob Impastato and Esther Chou of Big Tex Gym from Austin, TX traveled up to Destination with a bus load of hungry members for another exciting morning of Breakfast & Barbells.

Not only did the event consist of a hearty breakfast from Dallas Prep Kitchen, intense

training, and Ed Brown & crew being beasts, but also a 18,500lb semi that the bravest voluntarily pulled in classic strongman style.

Thumper Hutchison's truck pull is always a huge hit with newbies and our regular members. As Thumper would say, "The truck pull brings that motivation to destination... ain't nothin to it, just strap in.. grab the rope and pull all the way through it!"

A big part of the team along with tons of local friends, fans and destination members came out to celebrate Shaun Clarida's 212 Olympia win.

GASP OG's Johnnie Jackson and Branch Warren weigh in on Shaun's big win and what makes him a champion outside of the title.

Destination was also host to Shauns live Q&A which detailed out what was necessary to get this far and what the plan is going forward.

In true real and raw fashion Shaun also trains back with Jonathan Irizarry. This is Shaun Clarida coming off the gas a bit. "We start the prep for 2021 on February 1st."

Old school, as we define it, is probably something akin to grit and grind and loving every minute of it. Old school is also a hardcore, unwavering vision and goal of where you want to go, knowing why and never letting up on the gas.

Ed Brown and the crew he brought from Big Tex Gym on a road trip to destination is the furthest from ordinary as you can get. Alex Barlow, Kiu Long and Toniy Ramos are all loud, eccentric and cast from a different mold. What unites all of them is the old school mentality that Ed Brown lives and breathes and passes to anyone he comes into contact with.

Old school also means sticking to your own guns when no one around you can understand or see your particular vision. Ed has made a career of teaching others how to build muscle, burn fat and to understand and love the process while pursuing his IFBB Pro status.These guys crack jokes and bust balls but all understand what they are doing in the gym and why.

It is safe to say that "old school" will always be in style. When you have passion, purpose, live each moment day in and day out being unapologetic, that is when you can truly dig in to what makes you YOU and can quit wasting energy looking for approval.

On January 30th 50 years ago in Hammonton, New Jersey Johnnie O Jackson was born, and thus began his journey that would impact the world of powerlifting and bodybuilding in ways only he could.

As one of the strongest bodybuilders to ever step on the stage Johnnie Jackson is indeed an icon and a living legend. Very few on earth can match the intensity and down right insanity that Johnnie brings to a workout, and throughout his over 20 years in the sport he still approaches life and workouts just as he did at in the very beginning.

 earned the title of 212 Mr. Olympia in December, and is already preparing to defend his title in 2021. He entered the 2020 season with the motto of "No Plan B" and it seems the theme of his off season is "No Days Off", as he attacks it with the same relentless approach as his recent championship run.

Throughout his career Shaun has remained the under appreciated and underestimated contender whos value was often overlooked and dismissed by those with a limited perspective. Despite the negativity and doubt cast his way his persistence prevailed and he achieved what to some was the unthinkable and unreachable, but to Shaun it was the undeniable truth... he would be champion.

Q&A With 212 Mr. Olympia Champion Shaun Clarida

Keone Pearson and Olivia Gravengaard both have huge aspirations in this sport and they both have a distinct way of training. Both forms of training require intensity and work. One way is ballistic, more dynamic and essentially more work in the end, the other way is more strict, to-the-book and very precise with no waisted volume.

What's the point? Both Keone and Olivia avoid being a "wimp" from their own approach to training. They look forward to the process and the pain and get shit done.

Today they hit chest. It is a raw look at collaborations like these between athletes. Nothing but raw takes and raw training and perspectives between the two.
