We hit the ground running here in Tampa Tuesday before Hunter Labrada's professional debut at a much anticipated Tampa Pro championships. The year has been a roller coaster BUT Hunter and Bryan along with Lee and Andrew Vu have trained and consulted and navigated this whole prep to finally BRING IT to the stage.

In this episode we bring you the details of travel ie from airport to airport and training to grocery store and all the final details including starbucks runs leading up to taking stage this Saturday.

As you read this Joe Mackey and Jon Irizarry are at the DFW airport and are Tampa bound.

Pro Debut in Tampa - Hunter Labrada T Minus 4 Days

Cream of rice party is on along with training, posing and everything else to dial in and WIN another day.

Hunter Labrada and Bryan Troianello here linking up again with Joe Bennett and Bryce at the Lions Den in Tampa Bay. The carb up process has slowly started coupled with some decent sleep and chilling out on the nerves and the effect is evident and gnarly in the form of striations and other details contributing to what is turning out to be a crazy freaky pro debut physique.

Also in this episode are exactly how Hunter Labrada throws his "cream of rice" parties with detailed description on peanut butter distribution.

"He is exactly where he needs to be and he is looking insane."

 Bryan Troianello is a huge factor in making sure the days leading up to the stage are virtually stress free. 

 This is Hunter's and Bryan's joke describing the last couple of weeks of prep in where no new PR's are set and basically try to remain stress free and eating up until the contest.

Hunter Labrada - 2 Days Out From Tampa Pro

Peak week is essentially doing less physically demanding activity i.e. no new personal records set in the gym, no "killing it" with cardio. The work is done or at least should be done at this point.

Joe Mackey along with Jon Irizarry, Hunter Labrada and Bryan Troianello are all in Tampa ready to compete at the first open bodybuilding post panic and amidst all the 2020 chaos.

"The name of the game is put blood into the muscle and shuttle nutrients where we need them and no where else."

 Jon Irizarry has been helping Joe with improving his posing and putting him through the peak week paces in the gym.

"We just have to keep it simple. Keep eating and posing and relaxing."

We are 24 hours out from the Tampa Pro and Hunter Labrada's IFBB Pro debut.

It is a much anticipated pro debut and one characterized by a saying to focus on doing everything to the best of your ability in the present moment, which for most people feels small and insignificant, to pay off big time long term.

Win the present day which turns into weeks, months and years of doing 100% everything you can to accomplish any goal.

Bryan Troianello has been the man the last few years contributing non stop valuable insight, energy and training partner support that helped Hunter truly take sets where they needed to go in order to prepare for the Jr. USA, the NPC Nationals and now the Tampa pro. Also in the Hunter camp (and this goes without saying) are Robin and Lee Labrada who are also present in Tampa and in this episode.

The end result of what we see on stage is impossible without team mates and friends like Bryan Troianello, Jonathan Irizarry and the coaches and family who give so much energy and focus to the ones competing and needing the support at the time. This is what its all about!

Tampa Pro Wrap Up - Work Hard Play Hard

Getting started in classic physique, Keone Pearson rapidly rose to be one of the best in the division before reaching the ceiling of his weight limit. Now he is training for the Boston Pro in the 212 division.

"Show these mother f...ers I mean business."

Keone clearly is training to win in Boston and looking to mix it up at whats turning out to become a vert climactic Olympia.

Here he is training back in Atlanta and is coming to Destination Dallas and the GASP home base along with photographer Hector Mendoza for a solid week.

It is Keone Pearson's first day at the GASP homepage aka Destination Dallas. Hector Mendoza and Keone drove in from Tennessee and Atlanta respectively and hit the ground running with a tour from GASP CEO Michael Johansson.

"We have a lot of diversity here and the camaraderie is second to none."

Hunter Labrada is also in town for a special feature with Muscle and Strength and is able to get in on some of the Keone and Hector vibes for some training partner photo ops. Hunter and Keone have very different training styles and will be linking up together in the next days pull session.

Keone admittedly doesn't count reps. "I just go... and on to the next."

Branch Warren has been with GASP for over 12 years now and in 2020 the Branch Warren Classic will celebrate its 13th annual event.

GASP and Better Bodies has partnered with Branch through the years and complimented each other in growth.

Now GASP and Better Bodies are international brands in more than 115 countries and the GASP Supershow Branch Warren Classic has over 500 physique competitors and 9 other events to compete in totaling more than 2000 competitors at last years event.

To be successful long term, it's important to have fun through the whole journey. Don't live life in the form of one transaction to the next. Enjoy every experience, learn from them, improve from them, and build on relationships that compliment the journey. This is the essence of the Iron World Tour.

We kicked off August with 2 of the most epic weeks in terms of events, collaborations and team building in and around the GASP home base and the work hard play hard lifestyle.

First we ended July and kicked off August in Tampa with the equivalent of an Iron World Tour Tampa with a heavy hitting GASP team of athletes traveling to, training and preparing for the Tampa Pro. Hunter Labrada ended up winning the event and earning his spot in the 2020 Mr. Olympia.

Flash forward a week and we have the most jam packed days of training collabs and feature productions with Muscle and Strength, Muscular Development's Hector Mendoza and interviews and team building with Lee Labrada, Branch Warren, Johnnie Jackson, Keone Pearson and Hunter Labrada. Throughout all of the action we have some epic documentation via Kyle Wurzel, Hector and video producer Wake Wilder.

The purpose of this video is to show what a non stop, epic week we had at Destination and to illustrate the mission of GASP, Better Bodies and Destination as well as the mission of who we all collaborate with. The common denominator is always to improve the lives of others and to change the world through the fitness platform.

"We all become part of each others journeys. Everything is intertwined and everybody is walking the same direction with the goal to get better and make others better."

We wrap up the week at Branch Warren's farm where Guardian Response hosts their one stop shop to improve proficiency with shooting, assessing threats and being fit to be an immediate responder. Hunter, Branch and GASP CEO Michael Johansson join Butch Steinle and Tony and Mike from Guardian Response to "have a little fun."

Iron World - Epic Week at GASP & Better Bodies Headquarters

Whatever it takes... that's what goes into events and contests that we go to.

Despite 2020's mishaps and speed bumps the 13th annual NPC Branch Warren Classic and GASP Supershow STILL took place with a super motivated team of athletes, ambassadors and competitors. The day was complete with duffel bags, wrist wraps and beanies for the crowd and competitors, training with IFBB Pros Leland DeVaughn and John Small between prejudging and finals and Hunter Labrada guest posing in the evening along with the finals, awards and posedowns of the event.

Hunter's first contest was the NPC Branch Warren and now 4 years later he is guest posing with his first professional win under his belt and in route to his first Olympia.

Big thanks to Joseph Cortez and the Forth Worth Field House for hosting the training in between prelims and finals.

Joe Robinson is preparing for the 2019 NPC Nationals. Here he is in Denver and at Armbrust Pro Gym for the Iron World Tour together with Branch Warren, Adam Young and Brett Wilkin.

When it comes to training Joe Robinson, thanks to his football and athletic background, has only one setting which is all-out volume, weight and intensity. When it comes to strategy Joe prioritizes upper chest placing incline movements first in his regimen.

This is Joe Robinsons full chest workout:

1. Incline dumbbell presses: 7 sets (3 warm up sets) 60lb x 10 reps, 80lbs x 10 reps, 100lbs x 10 reps, 120 x 10 reps, 140 x 8 reps, 150 x 10 reps, 170 x 9 reps

2. Hammer incline press: 3 plates x 12 reps, 4 plates x 12 reps, 5 plates x 8 reps (dropset to one plate for max reps on every drop)

3. Converging chest press: 4 sets x 15 reps (drop set on the last set)
